So if either are likely then yes, structural elements should have classification codes.Antony McPheehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15366532205983073622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5634085675780254011.post-9906470735025962552016-10-26T20:05:48.628+11:002016-10-26T20:05:48.628+11:00Hi Antony, I work within an structure engineering ...Hi Antony, I work within an structure engineering discipline, do you think classification codes should be used on structural elements ? At BIMdata.org, we automate everything from Keynoting to Visual Programing. There you have it, manual vs. BIM. You should tjeck out CCS (cuneco classification system) which is a new classification system that includes classification, identification, views (IDM), properties etc.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDkuxB-xxeQ

I work at Projectspine A/S were we offer a software solution that handles all the elements in CCS. And because CCS is so fragmented, we can translate/map all the classification system you mention and at the same time harvest the benefits of CCS. This way you dont have to choose the classification, you just add it. On our cloud solution, we can handle all the objects do to their classification (Without geometry) and push the information back in Revit (in time, Archicad, Bentley etc.)

Tjeck it out on projectspine.com

Best regards
Emil Bisgaard MortensenAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09050584683894307570noreply@blogger.com
